History of computer networks

The history begins with the birth of the computer network computer network concept in the 1940s in America was initiated by a computer development project MODEL I at Bell labs and research group led by Harvard University professor Howard Aiken. [3] At the beginning of the project is to utilize a computer equipment to be used together. [3] To do some process without wasting lots of empty time made the streak (Batch Processing), so multiple programs can be run on a computer with the rules of the queue. [3]Year later 1950s when the type of computers began to grow until the creation of a super computer, a computer must serve some places available (terminal), for it was discovered the concept of time-based distribution process known as TSS (Time Sharing System). [4] So for the first time form a network (network) computer was applied. [4] In the TSS system of multiple terminals connected in series to a computer or other device connected to a network (host) computer. [4] In the process of TSS is starting to look a fusion of computer technology and telecommunications technology that was originally developed on their own. [4] U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) decided to conduct research that aims to connect several computers to form an organic network in 1969. [5] research program is known as the ARPANET. [5] In 1970, already more than 10 computers were successfully connected to each other so that they can communicate with each other and form a network. [5] And in 1970 it was also after the workload increased and prices large computing devices began to feel very expensive, then start to use the concept of the distribution (Distributed Processing). [3] In this process some of the host computer doing a great job in parallel to serve multiple terminals which are connected in series in each host computer. [3] In distribution process is absolutely necessary blend of deep between computer and telecommunications technology, because in addition to the process that must be distributed, all must serve the host computer terminals in a single command from a central computer. [3]

In 1972, Roy Tomlinson managed to complete the program electronic mail (email) he made a year ago for the ARPANET. [5] The program is so easy to use, it immediately became popular. [5] In the same year ie 1972, the icon at (@) is also introduced as an important symbol that shows the "at" or "on". [5] In 1973, ARPANET computer network was developed to expand outside the United States. [5] Computer University College in London, was the first computer that is out Americans who are members of Arpanet network. [5] In the same year ie 1973, two computer experts that Vinton Cerf and Bob Kahn presented a bigger idea, which became the forerunner of thought International Network (Internet). [5] The idea was presented for the first time at the University of Sussex. [5] historic day following the date of March 26, 1976, when the Queen of England managed to send e-mails from the Royal Signals and Radar Establishment at Malvern. [5] A year later, more than 100 computers that join in the ARPANET to form a network or network. [5]Tom Truscott, Jim Ellis, and Steve Bellovin, created the first newsgroups called USENET (User Network) in 1979. [6] In 1981, France Telecom creates something new with the launch of the first TV phones, where people can call each other the also associated with a video link. [6]As we get computers that make up the network, it takes a formal protocol that can be recognized and accepted by all the networks. [6] To that end, in 1982 established a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) or better known as the Internet Protocol (IP) which we known to date. [6] Meanwhile, in Europe appears a similar network known as Europe Network (Eunet) which covers an area of the Netherlands, England, Denmark, and Sweden. [6] This Eunet Network provide electronic mail and USENET newsgroups . [6]For a uniform address existing computer network, then in 1984 introduced the Domain Naming System or the domain name system, which we are now familiar with DNS. [5] Computers connected to the already existing network of more than 1000 computers more. [5] In 1987 , the number of computers connected to the network has jumped 10-fold to 10000 more. [5]Computer networks continue to grow in 1988, a national Finnish Jarkko Oikarinen discover and introduce the Internet Relay Chat or better known as the IRC that allows two or more computer users can interact directly with the delivery of messages (chat). [6] As a result, a year later number of interconnected computers soared 10-fold. [6] no less than 100 000 computers to form a network. [6] In the summer of 1990 is the most historic year, when Tim Berners Lee designed a programe editor and explorer who can menjelajai one computer with others to form a network. [6] programe is called Waring Wera Wanua or the World Wide Web. [6]Computers that are connected to form a network has exceeded a million computers in 1992. [5] And in the same year the term surfing (surf). [5] And in 1994, the sites on the internet has grown to 3000 pages address, and for the first time shopping via the internet or virtual-shopping or e-retail appear on the site. [5] In the same year, Yahoo! was founded, which was also the year of birth as well as Netscape Navigator 1.0. [5]
